The wonders of Rethinking
I started out with a cardboard box and I built on it to create something completly different, I decided that an intresting way to create something new is to destroy something in the process so I decided to rip the box apart. When I was piling up the pieces I thought it looked interesting so I took a picture and went from there. Using the image started with lines moving on to colour, then deciding to print it onto pattern paper and cut out the solid parts. I moved on from this and in the end I decided to use the prints to create a new box, in which I animated.
Multimedia Wall Haning
I used the images of bark to create a multimedia wall hanging using various techniques and media to create a visual and textual piece that captures the colours and textures of the changing of the season between summer and autumn.
The Inner Workings of the Human Mind
Taking apart basic household objects i started to be curious about the inner workings of simple machines, looking at how the machines inner workings were so intricate and how everything worked together to make one action. I thought about how the human mind is a machine and wanted to express the different intricatecies as well as the differences between humans whilst also comparing at how over all we are all similar on the outside and its our intrests and thoughts that create the working machine that is humanity in all its glory and sadness.
Changing Seasons through the Window
Using the consept of the changing seasons I focused on the colours and the fluidity of the leaves throughout the seasons. I looked as artists that used lines and markmaking flowing through the scene. I focused on the movement of the colours throught the glass, keeping the static elements such as the trees completly black and building the colours of the leaves as they are moving across the panels of glass.
